I used Tsukineko inks to paint the quilted border, without changing the feel of the fabrics, neat!

Dancing with George

Dancing with George by: Twila Richter

I just noticed this one on my bed, forgetting that I first designed it in EQ6, so here is the EQ6 file, the image from the program, and the photo of the real quilt.

My husband, George, loves to go dancing. The Tennessee Waltz block was perfect for him.

Katrina's Quilt
Katrina's Quilt
  Katrina's Quilt by: Twila Richter

Katrina is my older daughter and wanted a unique king-sized quilt...so...I drew her block and went from there. This one is NOT written up for a pattern.

Mary's Hearts
Mary's Hearts
Mary's Hearts Designed by: Twila Richter Made by Mary Donalds

Helen Thorn had designed the 2009 MN Stars of the North Shop Hop quilt and Mary (at work) fell in love with one of the blocks of the quilt. It had regular piecing for the heart but with the fabric folded back onto itself to make the hearts look curved. Mary described what she had in mind so I created the Mary's Hearts quilt for her to make.

I designed this in 2006 for the 2007 MN Stars of the North Shop Hop. Each store gave out the pattern for one block. Here is the image of the actual quilt for one store.

Hummels for Birthday
Hummels for Birthday
Hummels for Birthday by: Susan Gardner

My sister bought me the Hummels embroidery designs for my birthday in 2007. She collects Hummels and I knew she would like this quilt. I saw a similar lay out somewhere and had drawn it in EQ6. All I had to do was add the designs and make the quilt! Next month is her 50th Birthday so I thought it was the perfect gift for her.

Little Blue
Little Blue
  Little Blue by: Rhonda Dayton

This quilt was designed back in 2006 for the EQ Challenge for Alzheimer's Research.

It took me a while to come up with a method that worked best for me to complete the quilt, because for Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative the quilt size limitation is 9 by 12 inches.

Both, Little Blue and Gray Matter have been sent to Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative for sale.  Both quilts earned $40 for Alzheimer's Research.
