Where is my icon?
The Classic Appliqué blocks are installed into your EQ5 or EQ6 software. The
icon
you would double-click to use them is the EQ5 or EQ6 icon.
How do I find the blocks?
To find the blocks, open EQ5 or 6 (either start a new project or click Cancel at the opening
screen), click LIBRARIES - Block Library - Classic Applique Blocks. You will see another
blue book for each of the 3 Classic Appliqué CDs depending on which ones you own.
Click open one of the titles (either Baltimore Album, Folk Art, or 1920's and 1930's),
then click on a subcategory. The blocks will appear. You can now copy blocks you select,
thus
adding them to your project.
How do I get back to the screen that showed up after I installed?
The screen you saw was a Classic Appliqué HELP file. To start the help file up again, click START - Programs - Electric Quilt - Classic Appliqué HELP and then the CD you own.
Can I use the Classic Appliqué CDs in EQ4?
Unfortunately, no. The sketchbook and library drawings code changed too much after EQ4,
so the library is incompatible with previous versions.
Are these Classic Appliqué blocks different from
the Classic Appliqué blocks already in EQ5 or 6?
Yes, the designs in each Classic Appliqué CD are different from the designs in EQ5/6
as
well as each other. This means you would have over 600 new appliqué designs for your
EQ if you owned all 3 in the series.
Are these designs copyright-free?
The blocks in the Classic Applique collections were drawn from antique quilts and are copyright-free.
How do I use these blocks with EQ6?
This should link the Classic Applique blocks to EQ6. Whenever you want to use one, just open the Block Library, find and select the blocks, and click Add to Sketchbook.
