The colors of these fabrics just remind me of pastel colored jelly beans or tutti frutti ice cream!

I live on Wild Rose Road in Wild Rose Woods, so the name of Erin's collection resonated with me! The colors of the spring wild flowers are welcome after a long winter.

From the Block Library I picked the Four Fan Beauty 2 Block and designed two quilts with basically the same layout, but with different fabrics.

Loved the borders on:
#1:  I loved the multiple triangles and sashes and using the leaf pattern in different directions in all the colorways.

I really liked the quilts where the design was the same, but the choice of fabrics gave the 2 quilts completely different looks:
#3-4: The choice of the striped leaf fabric in #4 really makes the Four Fan Beauty block look different than #3

The blocks are from the EQ6 library.

I haven't taken part in a challege for a couple of years, so this was a real challenge. Didn't know how rusty I was.
The orange Turnstile blocks are the twirling ladies. They are twirling around the Rhode Island Stars.

I used blocks from the EQ6 library.

I learned lots designing this quilt as it involved the use of layers 1 and 2 plus I needed to figure out how to draw the fan motif to set into layer 2. As far as the use of the fabrics goes, I found it much easier to use them than I had originally thought it would be. The design is my own with the flower coming from the EQ applique library.

I enjoyed using these beautiful fabrics and hope to make this with these actual fabrics soon.

Surely Spring is coming soon.

Tampa, FL

Reminds me of the ice cream, Dippin Dots.

Tampa, FL

I loved pinwheels as a child and the fabric is so free-spirited that I couldn't resist using a block I drew that I call Childhood Pinwheels.

Missouri

This is the same as the first quilt, but using a different fabrics for the bars and in the 4 patch rail fence block.

Couldn't decide which one I liked better:
#13-14:  I kept coming back and looking at these 2- I want both of these...I love the simplicity and the way the colors really pop on each.

The block I chose is from'5500 Quilt Block Designs' & is called 'Ann's Scrap Quilt'. I looked for a large pattern that would show off the fabrics. This is my first challenge so I have tried to keep it simple. These are not my usual fabrics or colours, but I think I would make this for one of my nieces.

Western Australia

The block I chose is from '5500 Quilt Block Designs' & is called 'Album Flower'. This is my favourite of the 2, I have sent in. I enjoyed working with these colours and designs even though they out of my comfort zone.

Western Australia

This is sized for Ami Simms' Alzheimer's research auctions (9" x 11"). I traced one tree element of the fabric and enlarged it to use as a motif.

Easy and fun.

This is a seven-grid chain with EQ's 'Moth' motif floating in the alternate blocks.

Nothing original here: I drew the chain blocks because it was easier than searching for them (they're probably in one EQ library or another). I adapted EQ's Plain Swag border and corner blocks to give them a two-color background.

Easy challenge!

Mosaic Trellis

This fabric made me wish for spring. It includes applique just for spring.

Port Orchard, Washington

This fabric selection is so yummy it reminds me
of ice cream.

The fabric line reminds me of the flower power age of the 70's so I picked a layout with 70 stars. I think the fabric would be better served with larger individual patches.

Bracebridge, Ontario Canada

I first drew the block with the "trellis" design and then divided the large center area into 4 parts. Then I fussy cut the fabric in the large areas to create a mosaic design.

So Summery:
#24:  I like the leaf stripe turning in each block...it looks like a kaleidoscope!

I used the cube background to enhance the different fabrics. In order not to have a huge file, I didn't use all the fabrics. It is true that Srping is in the air! (at least in the mind!!).

Cheers from Switzerland

As March has the Irish day and Ireland still has a chance in winning the 6 nations tournament (at the time that I am writing), I designed a simple quilt with the symbol of Ireland and enhancing as well some Wildwood fabrics. I think that this design might be duplicated and used it in Andy Warhol's way.

Cheers from Switzerland

I really like this combination of hot pink and citrus green. The priarie points are created by placing motfis on a border on layer 2 and then deleting the border behind them - something I learnt from Barb Vlack's EQ5 book.

Guildford, England

I decided to let the fabric do the talking in these quilts, so chose a very simple layout with a prairie points border which completes the outer points of the four stars in the corners.

Guildford, England

Loved the borders on:
#29: I just designed a cube block quilt and wish I had thought to use a fun border like this one.

Couldn't decide which one I liked better:
#31-32:  Both are such great different colorways.
