Sparks, Nevada USA I live in the end building of an apartment complex. I can watch the groundskeepers putting in the flower beds along the public road. Every year all the little flowers are in rows. (Please imagine petunias and marigolds.) |
Sparks, Nevada USA I enjoy looking at flowers, but I can't keep plants alive. This is the way the flowers would start to look in my garden after a while. If I had a garden! :-) Please note the "weeds" I put inbetween. |

When the challenge is Birds and or Flowers go for a Flower that is named Bird. This is a variation BOP block, I created, by making the center 4-patch
smaller, which made the points longer. |

Birds and flowers? Why not both! This challenge gave me lots of practice tracing a photo and using the
thread tool. Reference: Dover Books |
Keymar, MD Flamingo's and dancing are a favorites of a very dear friend of mine. These two "birds" seem to be ready to boogie the night away. |

The superb blue wren or fairy wren is
my favourite bird, so it was natural that I would use it here. Since
I am an Aussie, I felt a native flower would be appropriate, so I have
included eucalyptus or gum leaves and flowers. |
