We love appliqué and are convinced that many people become readily discouraged because of the tedious and time-consuming preparation processes that have been taught and used by appliqué artists, teachers, and writers throughout the years. We have a patented system that specializes in saving time and allows the creation of an appliqué project that is positioned and sized as the designer of the pattern intended with minimal preparation. More time can be spent in perfecting stitches and creating a piece of art of which one can truly be proud.

It is possible to utilize a few of the timesaving options, offered by the patented Appliqué Graphics system, with a previously purchased pattern. With the aid of the computer, a scanner, and inkjet/laser printer, any pattern can be converted by scanning the design and printing in mirror image to the backside (dull side) of the 8 ½" x 11" template sheet. This procedure eliminates the need to trace templates. When a scanner/computer is not available, tracing or the use of an inkjet copy machine is an option.

An overlay allows precise placement of templates. With the aid of the computer and scanner, creating an overlay for any existing pattern is possible by scanning the design and printing directly to the 8 ½" x 11" overlay sheets. If the pattern design requires a larger overlay than an 8 ½" x 11, the tiling feature on the computer will need to be used at the time of printing. Either an ink-jet printer or laser printer can be used. When a scanner/computer is not available, the use of any copy machine is an option. A Sharpie® (permanent marker) can also be used to trace on the overlay sheets.
